Our registered Katahdin hair sheep in Munfordville, KY are raised for meat, maternal instincts, milk, and genetic parasite resilience. We market 150-180 lb lambs by 7-8 months of age. All our ewes are on a rotational grazing plan, being protected by our Akbash guardian dogs. With the prolificacy and easy care of Katahdin hair sheep, we are able to lamb every 8 months. Lambing outdoors, all lambs are weighed, recorded, & tagged within 24 hours. Lamb health is checked at 60 days and 90 days (worming and CD&T).Lambs are available year round.
